COURT RESERVATION RULES
Prime Time is 8:a.m. to 12 p.m. Monday through Friday. You may reserve any given hour of Prime time only twice in any week but not on consecutive days. You must complete signed-in play in any Prime Time period before signing up for any other Prime Time period. (Exception - A/12 Rule)
During the months of June, July, August & September, the same hour may be reserved twice in a given week but not on consecutive days.
PROFESSIONAL LESSONS scheduled in Prime Time period constitute an individuals Prime Time play for that day. (Exception - A/12 Rule)
Non-Prime Time is 12:00 PM and later Monday through Friday and all Day Saturday.
Sunday is considered open play.
You may reserve one hour of Non-Prime Time any day. This time may be in addition to any Prime Time booking you may have reserved on that day. You must complete play in your reserved Non Prime Time period before signing up for another Non-Prime Time period. (Exception - A/12 Rule) The same hour of Non-Prime Time play may be repeated in that week.
Registered groups of 8 players will be permitted from 2:00 to 5:00 P.M. Any open time not requested for group play will be considered Non-Prime Time. Players may join only one registered group but substituting for a player in another group is permitted.
Tennis Club sponsored round robins: Play in round robin must be completed before you can sign in to play in another round robin within that same week. Sign up for sanctioned round robins does not affect the signup for any other period of play. Designated round robin playing time has been reserved from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. each Tuesday and Thursday. If round robin play is not scheduled during this time period, then regular play may resume at 5:00 P.M. The designated round robin time must be indicated in the appropriate time periods of the daily schedule sheet.
Player signup rules remain in effect for Prime and Non-Prime time.
Sunday Time: Sunday is "open time." You may reserve one hour of Sunday Time (either the same hour or a different hour) from one Sunday to the following Sunday or at any time during the week. One hour of Sunday time may be reserved in addition to any Prime Time or Non-Prime Time already reserved in that week. Play must be completed in the reserved Sunday Time before signing for another Sunday time.
After 12 Rule: The intent of the After 12:00 RULE (A/12 Rule) is to fill vacant time periods in the following day's schedule to provide full utilization of the courts. The use of this rule allows additional court time even though a person may already be scheduled to play on that day. The additional court time may occur before or after the original scheduled time.
After 12:00 P.M, you may sign up for one hour of unbooked Prime Time or Non-Prime Time available on the following day. A-12 should be entered beside your name when you sign up.
Court Reservation: Two to four people are encouraged to sign up to play together. Single sign-up is permitted. One player may sign up for a group providing each player has agreed and each is in accordance with the playing rules. If it is necessary for a player to cancel a reserved time, he must inform a member of the group or procure a substitute, never just erase the name. The replacement should indicate "sub" by his name.
Court Etiquette: The rules and regulations as established by the USTA are to be followed by all players on the courts. THE CODE, a USTA publication that documents the regulations for non-officiated matches, is to be followed to ensure fair play for everyone. Proper tennis attire (clothing and tennis shoes) is required for all players.
Rain Delay: If a court has to be squeegeed before or during playing, the scheduled time will be advanced 15 Minutes. E.g. if play cannot begin at 8:00 A.M. due to wet courts, clean them off and play is extended to 9:15 A.M. If rain delays play for more than one-half hour, indicate "rained out" in the book. You may then sign up for the same time, if it is available, during any day before the next Sunday.
Ball Machine: The ball machine belongs to the Tennis Club and is available for the exclusive use of the club members and only during Non-Prime and Sunday Time. You must sign your name in the book and indicate "ball machine." This advises others that you are practicing and not looking for a game at that time.
Reservations: Play may be restricted from time to time for special events, demonstrations, professional lessons, round robins and tournaments. Notices will be posted on the tennis bulletin board. Food, beverages and smoking are prohibited on the courts. Personal water containers are permitted and encouraged. Smoking is prohibited under the Tiki Hut.
