2010 UNSUNG HERO AWARD

TO GERRIE PURCELL

The SLCCV New England Club awarded its fourth Unsung Hero Award to Gerrie Purcell in recognition of her many contributions to the community.   The award is given annually by the New England Club to a resident of SLCCV.   As has been the case in prior awards, Gerrie was unaware of the award before the meeting.  It was a surprise to her but not to those who know her and have experienced her unfailing help.

Prior winners of the award were present: (Below left to right), Bill Brown-2007 (with wife Doris), Frank Buzzelli-2009 (with wife Ann) and Bill McCurdy-2008 (behind the camera with wife Nan).

A beautiful boquet of flowers and a plaque were presented to Gerrie

Over 85 New England Club members attended the awards Dinner and did a quick end to a delicious cake.
